Lastnight,studentsgatheredonasunnyFridayafternoontorehearsetheirmusicalperformancestogether.TheseventhgradefreshmenshowedofftheirabilitieswitharenditionfromtheBroadwaymusical,Newsies.Theeighth-gradejuniorsthendemonstratedwithachoirperformanceoftheLionKing.Thestudentswereregaledwithteacherperformancesof“SeasonsofLove”fromtheBroadwaymusical,Rent,andMichaelJackson’s“Rockin’Robin”.Allstudentsfromfreshmanandjunioryearsthenfinishedthenighttogetherwithafinalrehearsalofthesong,“WearetheWorld”.Thefollowingmorningbeganearlywiththeintroductionoffourartists:Illya,Aya,Matthew,andKimberly.EachoftheseartistswasresponsibleforteachingeachofYingTung’sclassestoperformaspecificplay.
在结束了第一天的戏剧学习后，昨天下午，七年级的学生演绎了百老汇音乐剧《Newsies》的精彩片段，八年级学生用唱诗班的形式表演了《TheLionKing》。同时，老师为同学们带来了百老汇音乐剧《Rent》中的“SeasonsofLove”和迈克尔·杰克逊的“Rockin’Robin”的精彩演出。最后，七、八年级的学生一起演唱了歌曲《WearetheWorld》。今早，Illya、Aya、Matthew和Kimberly四位艺术家开始带领英东学子学习莎士比亚的四部经典戏剧。
